solitudinariann:

The show makers made it clear that it won’t be a 1:1 adaptation, its going to be diverted and I am absolutely okay with it because

1. They stayed true to the characters and they have respected every aspect of their backstories and personalities

2. Their dynamic is book accurate, the action, their brutality everything is in character, I don’t see any problem with it.

3. Even tho they brought the character arc early on, it gives viewers a head start to understand every crow in depth, they took their time with the crows and their stories I am actually satisfied with it.

Overall the writers did a good job with handling the character arcs in my opinion.

mournersandfunerals:

Nina and Kaz did it. Peak sibling energy. From her punching him and repeatedly pestering him for his help, to him being COMPLETELY done with her shit, and then offering her his help. They made it. They’re brother and sister now.

spacehero-23:

shadow and bone proves that as long as you treat the source material and the characters with respect, you don’t have to make everything “book accurate”

kittyinhighheels:

On the one hand I am sad that they’re rushing the Crows timeline because some of the scenes lose a lot of their weight (Kaz beating up the men, Kaz cleaning Inej’s wound, Jesper’s powers being found out) but on the other hand I’m a simple bitch who gobbles it up

lixiesbabyhands:

love when jesper asked wylan “shouldn’t you be in university” my brother in christ shouldn’t YOU be in university

chloeshayden Ten months ago, I sat down in a room of complete strangers; my heart racing, my head running, and together we read through our first ever run through of Heartbreak High.

Today, after ten months and these people becoming my forever family, Heartbreak High is launching in over 190 countries.

5pm AEST today.

strangereddie:

Okay I don’t want to hear a single person ever say again that having representation is too much on a TV show or not realistic because heartbreak high had autistic representation, lesbian representation, non-binary representation, asexual representation, Aboriginal representation, and Asian representation all in one show and not for one fucking second did I think this is unrealistic, especially in a Sydney based school. That is exactly what kids are like and is exactly what real life is like!!!!!
